Chanel To Open Pop-Up Diner In Brooklyn

Chanel Pop-Up Diner (Chanel)

Chanel is giving its latest fragrance a warm Brooklyn welcome.

The ultra-luxe fashion giant will open the doors to its Lucky Chance Diner on September 8th at 225 Wythe Avenue in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg community. The forthcoming experience is not your typical neighborhood eatery. Chanel will offer guests a chance to discover its signature scents as well as its latest one, Chance Eau Fraîche, at the customized bar and counter area. Visitors will also be able to purchase the fragrance at the site. There will be actual treats available, though no one should expect a full-course meal at Lucky Chance Diner.

In addition to the smells of Chanel, visitors will have the opportunity to take photographs throughout the pop-up cafe. Games, Chance Eau Fraîche vending machines, and a backyard filled with other Chanel decor. Even better, the diner is only a few minutes from Chanel’s newest Fragrance and Beauty Boutique, a first for Brooklyn. The French imprint joins the likes of several other beauty brands that have made Brooklyn their home in recent years with brick-and-mortar stores. Among these is makeup giant Glossier. Those who grew up in the area have slammed high-end developments such as these as a way to gentrify the neighborhood. Still, Chanel sees the move as an opportunity to attract new and day-one fans.

First launched in 2007, Chance Eau Fraîche’s latest version was developed by Chanel’s head perfumer, Olivier Polge, who described it as “a deeper interpretation of the floral-sparkling fragrance,” The Hollywood Reporter shared. The sweet scent incorporates jasmine heart, zesty citron, and a splash of teak wood notes.

There is no fee to enjoy the Lucky Chance Diner, which will only be open for two days, closing down for good on September 10th. Walk-ins are welcome, but attendees may also reserve their spots at Chanel.com.
