Former Knicks player Charles Oakley was ejected from Madison Square Garden in February of this year. Oakley didn’t leave quietly then; refusing to do so now.

Oakley has now filed a civil suit against Madison Square Garden, MSG Sports & Entertainment as well as James Dolan.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Bleacher Report’s Yaron Weitzman took to Twitter to dissect the civil suit. In doing so, Weitzman pointed out that there are 10 causes of action with slander, libel, assault, battery and false imprisonment being included.

There was speculation around what caused the incident. However Oakley offered his side to the New York Daily News naming security personnel as the aggressors.

Oakley stated, “I was there for four minutes. I didn’t say anything to him. I swear on my mother. They came over and wanted to know why I was sitting there. I bought the ticket. I said, ‘Why do you guys keep staring at me?’ Then they asked me to leave. And I said, ‘I’m not leaving.'”

It is unclear what the result of this suit will be or if Oakley is seeking monetary compensation.
