Prior to Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson’s month long marriage, Glory did an interview where she admitted that she wasn’t lesbian but Griner was just “different”. Griner called off the marriage just one day after Johnson announced they were expecting a child. The crazy circus of events surrounding these two made everyone wonder, what really went wrong?
According to reports, in early April, Brittney Griner found out that Glory had still been texting her ex-boyfriend. In late April Griner and Johnson got into a huge fight and were both arrested. Related? Who knows, but they still ended up getting married in May. Griner also says that she found out Glory was still having sex with a guy when they first got together in 2014. It’s unclear if this is the same ex she was texting but Griner says that if she knew about this before, she wouldn’t have gotten married.
The only problem is that Griner has admitted that she knew Glory was straight. Sexual attraction isn’t just something she was to expect Glory to turn off. It seems to me Glory was just experimenting and that alone is not the basis for marriage. These two would know that if they didn’t get engaged after 2 months, pregnant after being married 2 days and divorced after being married 28 days.
