Just days after being photographed with music executive Alexander “AE” Edwards, iconic singer Cher is defending their romance despite the 40-year age gap.
If you recall, the 76-year-old “Believe” singer sparked dating rumors when she was photographed holding hands with AE as they left dinner last week. The 36-year-old, who shares a two-year-old son with model Amber Rose, usually keeps a relatively low profile. However, talks of the pair dating thrust him into the spotlight, though he has been tight-lipped about the budding relationship. Cher, on the other hand, is letting it be known that she is happy with her young beau.
On Saturday, she shared an up-close picture of AE with the caption, “Alexander,” with a heart emoji. Fans quickly swarmed her page with questions, and Cher did not hold back. When one fan asked about AE’s intentions for the superstar, she replied that he was worth the risk.
“I WASNT BORN YESTERDAY & What I Know For Sure…There Are No Guarantees. Anytime you make a Choice, You Take a Chance. I’ve Always Taken Chances…It’s WHO I Am,” she wrote.
When another fan expressed that AE better be treating Cher right, she replied, “like a queen.” Another bluntly asked if AE was her man, to which Cher replied with a heart-eye emoji.
It is unclear when the two became official, but during the impromptu Q&A Twitter session, Cher revealed they’d met during Paris Fashion Week. What also remains unknown is whether or not Amber is okay with their union. Last year, AE admitted that he cheated on Amber. The model would later allege that he’d stepped outside of their relationship with at least 12 other women.
Hopefully, AE has learned from his past and treats his new love better.
