Chicago Armed Robbery Found at Scene Eating Victim's Fried Chicken

James Taylor mugshot

A Chicago man is facing felony charges after allegedly robbing a man at gunpoint and eating his takeout fried chicken at the scene.
Police say they found James Taylor, 20, eating the victim’s fried chicken within minutes after the robbery was reported.
According to reports, the victim parked his car on the 4500 block of South Calumet at 1:30 on Saturday morning and began walking toward his home with his fried chicken.
Taylor then allegedly interrupted the victim to ask for a light, but he replied he didn’t have one and kept walking.
According to prosecutor Kenneth Flesch, Taylor tapped the victim on the shoulder.  As the victim turned round, Taylor pointed a gun at him, and the victim proceeded to give him his keys, $2 in cash, a debit card, and the fried chicken.
During the victim’s 911 call, Taylor climbed into the victim’s car and ate the chicken.  Police arrested Taylor shortly after that, according to Flesch.
Taylor is accused of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, armed robbery with a firearm, stolen vehicle possession, and debit card illegal use.
He was ordered to pay a $15,000 bail deposit before going home on electronic monitoring.
