Chick-fil-A officials recently announced plans to introduce a new type of chicken across their restaurants in the coming months.

The company will transition from using “No Antibiotics Ever (NAE)” chicken to “No Antibiotics Important to Human Medicine (NAIHM)” chicken starting this Spring, as reported by WSBTV News.

The NAE label signifies that no antibiotics were used at any stage of raising the chicken. On the other hand, the NAIHM approach limits the use of antibiotics critical for treating human illnesses, permitting the use of animal-specific antibiotics only when necessary for the health of the animal or its peers, the popular fast-food chain explained regarding their updated policy.

Officials stated that this shift underscores the company’s dedication to meeting the discerning preferences of their customers and upholding superior standards of animal welfare.

“Quality has always been at the forefront of our food philosophy,” the company officials stated. “Given that chicken is the cornerstone of our menu, we are committed to serving only genuine, white breast meat without any added fillers, artificial preservatives, or steroids.”
