Kansas City Chiefs player Damon Arnette has been cut from the team after getting arrested for allegedly threatening a valet with a gun.

Arnette, 25, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a controlled substance on Friday in Las Vegas. It was not immediately made clear what drug he was in possession of.

TMZ reports that the cornerback attempted to retrieve a car from the Park MGM without a ticket. This led to an argument with a valet attendant, and Arnette allegedly drew a gun. The police were subsequently called.

This is not the first run-in with the law for Arnette. The 2020 first-round pick was released by the Raiders in November after appearing in a social media video with guns and threatening to kill someone. He is also being sued by a woman who claims he hit her car in October 2020.

The Ohio State star recently signed to the Chiefs on a futures deal. NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero states that part of the agreement included a zero-tolerance policy and a commitment to intense counseling. He was arrested and released from the team nine days later.
