Chris Brown is facing a new lawsuit from a woman claiming the singer painted her in a bad light online.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Angela Reliford accuses the “Take You Down” singer of reposting a manipulated video to his 145 million followers. She claims the clip included a mugshot from a wrongful arrest, distorted audio with “ominous, ‘devil’ music,” and “false captions suggesting that [she] had intended harm to Chris and his dancers.”
Reliford, who filed the suit without a lawyer, said, “[Chris] directly reposted the edited video to his social media platform, broadcasting it to millions of followers without verifying its authenticity or considering the damage it could cause.” She added, “By reposting the edited video, [Chris] intentionally placed [her] in a false light, portraying her as dangerous and unstable.”
In the footage, Reliford slams one of Brown’s background dancers and adds that she is a “loser.” Reliford says she can “see why people get guns and run up in them muthaf**kas.” Additionally, she asked, “Where can I legally kill? ‘Cause I’m comin’ for you muthaf**kas as soon as I can.”
The lawsuit alleges that Reliford suffered “substantial reputation harm, public ridicule and emotional distress,” including harassment and threats from Chris’ fans. She is demanding unspecified damages.
Meanwhile, Brown is already entangled in a $90 million legal battle with his former housekeeper, Maria Avila. Avila claims she was mauled by Brown’s dog, Hades, in 2020, suffering permanent injuries. Chris denied wrongdoing, stating, “The injuries complained of by [Maria] were proximately caused by [Maria’s] misconduct.”
The court has ordered Brown to sit for an in-person deposition by month’s end. Both cases remain ongoing.
