Chris Brown is off the hook for his battery charges after the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office declined to move forward with the case.

Prosecutors declined to pursue the incident that occurred in June when a woman accused the “Loyal” singer of assaulting her at his San Fernando Valley home. The victim told police that Brown hit her in the back of the head with so much force that it caused her wig to fly off. The woman filed a battery report, though Brown was never arrested. She did not sustain any injuries aside from her weave taking a beating.

The attorney’s office says there is insufficient evidence to bring charges against the 32-year-old.

While the battery case may be behind him, Brown must now face a separate legal battle over his hit record, “No Guidance,” featuring Drake. Music duo Drum’n Skillz says the two ripped off their song, “I Love Your Dress,” for their 2019 single. They have filed a lawsuit against both music stars.
