Chris Brown has been released on $6.7 million bail just weeks ahead of his U.K. trial for an alleged nightclub assault, clearing the way for his upcoming tour across the U.K. and Ireland.

A judge at Southwark Crown Court in London approved Brown’s release during a Wednesday hearing, setting bail at £5 million with strict conditions tied to his future court appearance. The British Press Association reports that the full bail amount would be forfeited if Brown fails to comply or skips his scheduled return.

The 36-year-old singer was not present in court for the hearing.

The case stems from a 2023 incident in a Manchester nightclub, where Brown is accused of causing grievous bodily harm by allegedly throwing a tequila bottle that injured another partygoer. He has not yet entered a plea.

Ironically, Brown’s “Breezy Bowl” tour is set to kick off just two days after the trial begins, with his first show scheduled for June 15 in Manchester, the same city where the alleged incident took place.
