Cold World. According to Chris Clemons’ (Seattle Seahawks) newly ex-wife Veranetta, after the two officially finalized their divorced last month and Clemons gave her half a million dollars and a Land Rover, he felt that she needed a little bit more. Feeling bad for her, he decided to move her into his Georgia mansion. That’s a sweet ex-husband, right? According to Veranetta, the sweetness didn’t last long. She says that she moved in, on his word, and spent all of her money on other things before even getting a cent of the $500,000. She figured she could spend her life savings because she had a big pay day coming up. Well, when Veranetta asked Clemons to pay her $74,856 attorneys’ fees he was NOT having it. According to Veranetta he flipped out, took back the house and put her out on her ass. Ouch!
Now we know there’s two sides to every story. Chris’ side is that he DID indeed pay her the $500,000 and she’s just trying to get more. As far as the home, that wasn’t originally part of the settlement so he could honestly do what he wanted to (My words, not his).
These girls out here are dumb. IF he gave me half a million dollars, I would politely sit down and shut my mouth as I whip that Land Rover back and forth. If the DIDN’T pay the money yet, I surely wouldn’t be stupid enough to blow my entire life’s saving on other crap while I waited. Where do they do that at?
