Chrisean Rock will be using her platform to help uninsured people sign up for health insurance.
The reality star has joined forces with Healthcare Unlocked to help her massive following sign up for the Affordable Care Act. This latest campaign makes Rock the first celebrity to partner with Healthcare Unlocked, which is a joint effort between Hollywood Unlocked, its CEO Jason Lee, and insurtech start-up Enhance Health.
“Tied to open enrollment, the campaign will harness the influence of celebrities and esteemed brands to make healthcare cool, ultimately raising awareness about the importance of insurance, how it improves overall health, and solutions for budget-friendly options,” the press release stated.
On the Hollywood Unlocked website, multiple sources are listed, as well as a hotline number where citizens can call for help signing up for insurance plans. Per the announcement, Healthcare Unlocked will also be adding additional influential voices to push the campaign. As for Rock, she is excited to lead the way for others. The rapper says she was partially motivated to get involved due to her son, who underwent hernia surgery not long ago.
“Once I became a mom, I realized there were so many things I didn’t know about health insurance. I’m partnering with Jason Lee and Healthcare Unlocked to make sure you know what you qualify for, too,” the Zeus star shared in a statement.
