Chrisean Rock’s ex-boyfriend, Karon “Ronny Doe” Cann, has passed away following a shooting in Maryland at just 24 years old. Authorities have confirmed his death as a homicide, calling the fatal February 3rd shooting a targeted act.
According to Anne Arundel Police, officers responded to a call in Severn, Maryland—a suburb about 25 minutes outside of Baltimore—and found Cann lying in front of a home. He was given medical aid at the scene before being transported to the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead from his gunshot wounds.
News of Cann’s death began circulating online after a man believed to be his uncle posted a heartfelt tribute on Facebook, writing, “This feels like a nightmare. I been up crying all night. I’m not supposed to bury you, nephew, you supposed to bury me.” He continued, “It hurts so bad that your life was taken, but I know you’re at peace now. [I’m] praying for justice so we all can have closure. I love you and will truly miss you. R.I.P Karon (Nephew).”
Chrisean Rock has not yet addressed Cann’s passing publicly. Their relationship had been rocky in recent years, with Cann previously demanding a DNA test to confirm if he was the father of Chrisean’s son, Chrisean Jesus. In October, he took to Instagram, stating, “I deserve to have that proven to me through what? A DNA test. If Junior is not my son, the DNA test will prove that. Right or wrong? Right.”
