Ciara and Future are engaged. The rapper proposed over the weekend with a 15 carat diamond ring while Ciara was in New York celebrating her 28th birthday, their publicist, Chris Chambers, confirmed to The Associated Press on Sunday night.
The couple has been dating for about a year, and their relationship grew out of the studio. Future co-wrote and co-produced Ciara’s hit “Body Party” from her self-titled album, released this summer. No wedding date has been set.
Ciara shared her excitement about the engagement with fans on Twitter after the news broke. Future is currently on the road with Drake on the Would You Like a Tour.
The engagement has also fueled rumors that the couple may be expecting a baby. Neither Ciara nor Future has addressed the speculation.
