Claressa Shields finally broke her silence about her relationship with Papoose and where things really stand between him and his estranged wife, Remy Ma.
Sitting down with The Breakfast Club, she didn’t dodge the questions, especially the one everybody wanted answers to.

Clarissa revealed that her relationship with Pap started long before the public caught wind of it. But as expected, the real topic of interest was the status of Papoose’s marriage to Remy. When asked directly about it, she kept it respectful but real.
“Oh, I mean, it’s the elephant in the room. I don’t have to say it. I don’t know what’s going on in his personal life,” she said. “But that takes time, and like I said, that’s not my place to speak on. What I do know is, I’m with him every day. And when we’re not together, we’re on the phone. We FaceTime. We love each other. That’s just what it is.”
When asked if the pending divorce held her back from giving her all in the relationship, Claressa made it clear she’s already all in.
“No,” she said without hesitation. “We’re together all the time. The all is already given. I’m 30, we talk about kids and family and all that—but that situation still has to be handled. I’m not married. That’s for them to deal with.”
Claressa also explained how their bond grew quickly, saying they would fall asleep on the phone together for months straight—literally sunup to sundown.
“He was honest from the beginning. No secrets. Just, ‘Here’s the situation. Do you accept it or not?’” she said. “We’d talk all night, fall asleep on the phone for three, four months straight. So to wake up to chaos one morning was crazy. Like, we were just talking. That’s how I found out. We woke up to the drama.”
She clarified that she harbors no ill feelings toward Remy Ma, even though they haven’t spoken.
“She made her post, and that was that,” Claressa said. “I don’t have any hate toward her. Women are women. We’re emotional creatures. I don’t know what that post was about. She doesn’t know me, and I don’t know her.”
Despite all the gossip, Claressa made it clear she’s not caught up in the drama or online mess. Her focus is on the relationship she’s building with Pap, and as far as she’s concerned, the rest will work itself out.
