Good news for vegans and dairy-free people that still might want to experience a sweet ice cream treat. Cold Stone Creamery announced they are adding vegan ice cream to the menu.
Known for their premium ice cream, vegans were previously only able to choose sorbet. Now, they will be able to select from the chain’s latest offering, a Silk Chocolate Almondmilk Frozen Dessert.
In addition, they will be adding Don’t Cry Over Spilled Silk Creation to the menu. The new frozen dessert is made from Silk Chocolate Almondmilk Frozen Dessert, banana, peanut butter, and toasted almonds.
“Cold Stone is delighted to share our very first plant-based flavor,” said Sara Schmillen, the vice president of marketing for Kahala Brands, the parent company of Cold Stone Creamery, in a statement. “We pride ourselves on our high flavor standards. It was important for us to innovate with an equally high quality and well-respected brand like Danone and their Silk Almondmilk product.”
She called the new Silk Chocolate Almondmilk Frozen Dessert a “true ice cream experience.” She added, “Plant-based has never tasted so good. We know our guests will agree!”
Silk Chocolate Almondmilk Frozen dessert is now available and can be ordered at all 931 Cold Stone Creamery locations nationwide.
