Comedian and actor Jak Knight has passed away at the age of 28 from unknown causes.
On Thursday, Knight’s family confirmed the devastating news with Deadline, saying Knight died in Los Angeles.
Knight was best-known for his starring in and co-creating the Peacock comedy series “Bust Down.” The show featured Chris Redd, Langston Kerman, and Sam Jay. Knight also played in the Netflix animated series “Big Mouth.” He served as a writer for roughly five seasons of the series.
However, Knight gained his fame in stand-up after globally touring. He became well-known in Europe, and in 2018, Knight was invited to star in Netflix’s special called “The Comedy Lineup.”
“Jak Knight was a hysterical and honest comedian. We will miss him tremendously,” Comedy Central tweeted.
Comedian Tim Dillon also shared a few words with his former colleague.
“RIP to Jak Knight,” he tweeted. “We taped Netflix specials together years ago. He was an incredibly funny original voice in comedy and a great guy who will be sorely missed.”
