The Deion and Pilar Sanders divorce had another ugly chapter this week, and this time the police were called.
According to TMZ, officers were called to the couple’s Texas mansion after a woman named Laura came by to see Deion. Pilar says she asked the woman to leave, and when she refused, the two got into a shouting match. Pilar claims the woman then picked up an object and threw it at her, hitting her in the eye. Pilar also says Deion was there the whole time and did nothing.
Early reports didn’t say who the woman was. A source close to the family has since told Baller Alert that she is Deion’s aunt.
It’s the latest in a nonstop stream of headlines from this divorce. Deion has claimed Pilar is trying to extort him, and Pilar has claimed he cut off support to the family. Pilar wants Deion to buy her a house as laid out in their prenup.
Whoever was involved, this is way too much. Grown folks fighting in the house, with the police showing up, is no way to go through a divorce, especially with children in the home.
