Costco is pulling the brakes on one of its most talked-about products this year — the viral Dubai Style Chocolate.
The issue isn’t the taste, it’s the label. The popular sweet, made by Rolling Pin Baking Company, was sold nationwide from May 1 through August 29, 2025. But there’s a serious problem: the allergen warning listed “gluten” instead of specifically saying “wheat.”
That small slip could be a big deal for anyone with a wheat allergy, since the chocolate contains “kunefa,” an ingredient made with wheat.
No illnesses have been reported yet, but Costco and the manufacturer aren’t taking any chances. Customers are being told to bring the chocolate back for a full refund.
