Crocs and STAPLE have reunited to showcase the beauty of New York City junk.
This latest collab, known as the Homing Pigeon All Terrain Clogs, finds streetwear designer Jeffstaple and the comfort shoe brand adorning the slip-in shoe with custom Jiggitz resembling common items found on NYC streets. A single bamboo hoop earring, a STAPLE lighter, a safety pin, and a red STAPLE x Crocs condom wrapper are all intertwined in the black mesh that encases the entire front end of the Croc. A silver Jibbit in the shape of the signature Homing Pigeon also dangles from the mesh.
The Clogs include a black adjustable strap constructed of fabric and velcro with splashes of red are an upgrade from the standard rubber strap seen on most Croc styles. However, this new strap can still easily be placed into “sport mode” for movers and shakers on the go.
Both Crocs and Jeffstaple chose to roll out the Clog in a major way, launching a one-of-a-kind NFT to accompany the release. The NFT will only be available in the STAPLEVERSE on September 10th at 11:00 a.m. Only 123 copies of the NFT will be available to STAPLEVERSE members, and another 123 will be available for non-members. Luckily, all buyers will receive a physical pair of the Clogs with their NFT purchase. Anyone uninterested in the NFT can simply wait until the shoe is made available on the official Crocs website from September 13th through September 14th. Supplies are extremely limited, so each shopper will only be allowed one pair.
