Saucy Santana is clearing up what he meant when he joked about missing Diddy, making it clear that the internet gave the comment far more weight than he intended.

During Santana’s August 13 appearance on “The Breakfast Club,” DJ Envy revisited an earlier moment when Santana said he missed Diddy. The rapper explained that his response came after people online repeatedly tried to troll him about Sean “Diddy” Combs, not from an attempt to make a serious statement about Combs or his legal troubles.Santana said:
“I think people just take s**t and take it out of context. People comment and troll like “You miss Diddy?” Yeah, I went to one of his parties after the BET Awards, b***h. We had a ball.”
The context matters because Santana has long been friends with Yung Miami, whose relationship with Diddy placed her under intense scrutiny as allegations and criminal proceedings involving the Bad Boy Records founder dominated headlines. During the “Breakfast Club” conversation, Santana framed his original Diddy comments as trolling the trolls, pointing to his experience attending a party and having a good time rather than offering commentary on the accusations surrounding Diddy.
A federal jury convicted the mogul in July 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution while acquitting him of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges. U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian later sentenced him to 50 months in federal prison. His attorneys have challenged both the conviction and sentence on appeal.
Santana also used the interview to revisit another chapter of the controversy, his decision to sit across from Yung Miami when she finally addressed the public fallout surrounding her former relationship with Diddy.
Santana said:
“It was hard because It was like everybody counted her out and just was against her, it was like this whole agenda, I feel like at the time. That’s my best friend every day, so it’s like, when you on the phone and she sad, or she down, now I’m sad, I’m down because I don’t wanna see my friend like that. So, I just think that she’s such a like strong woman because even her going through all that, Caresha was in the studio.
That sitdown happened during the 2024 return of “Caresha Please.” Yung Miami chose Santana to interview her as she discussed her relationship with Diddy, her mental health and the pressures surrounding her personal life. During that conversation, Miami said she could not speak to allegations involving experiences she did not personally witness and maintained that the behavior being alleged by others was not what she experienced during her relationship with Diddy.
The scrutiny did not disappear after that interview. In March 2026, Yung Miami once again addressed her connection to Diddy during her own appearance on “The Breakfast Club.” Miami explained why she submitted a letter supporting him before his sentencing, saying she could only judge the person she personally knew. She also said the decision came with real consequences, including lost deals, money and relationships. Miami and Combs were romantically linked beginning in 2021, confirmed their relationship publicly in 2022 and were no longer together by 2023.
For Saucy Santana, however, the focus during his latest “Breakfast Club” appearance remained on separating his own jokes from the larger Diddy story and explaining what loyalty looked like behind the scenes for Yung Miami.
