The allegations against D4vd continue to mount, and now, prosecutors say he was in possession of a “significant amount” of child pornography.
During Thursday’s status hearing on his upcoming preliminary hearing, prosecutors claimed they discovered the disturbing content during a search of his device. They didn’t specify whether or not D4vd’s alleged victim, Celeste Rivas Hernandez, was pictured in those images.
The singer was arrested by the LAPD last Thursday, and prosecutors charged him Monday with murder in connection with the teen’s death. He was also charged with lewd and lascivious sexual acts with a person under 14 years old and the mutilation of a human body. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed that Hernandez died from multiple penetrating injuries before having her arms, legs, and two fingers amputated. They believed D4vd murdered her using a “sharp instrument.”
Prosecutors say D4vd cut up her body, placed it in two bags, and kept her remains in the trunk of his Tesla for over four months as she decomposed. Meanwhile, he continued his career. They believe the case can be brought to trial within 60 days.
