The conversation around DaBaby and his show rate drop just got real after the rapper shared new details about how his career shifted following his 2021 controversy.

Speaking on “Million Dollaz Worth Of Game,” DaBaby said he was once pulling in between $300,000 and $500,000 per show at his peak. “I had a calendar full of shows. 350K, 350K, 375K, 400K, 300K,” he explained. However, after backlash tied to his remarks at Rolling Loud Miami, that number dropped sharply.
He told host Wallo267 that he “went back down to 30,000,” but also made it clear he didn’t let the reduced bookings stop him.
“I went and got that,” he said, showing he stayed active even with the lower fee.
Back in July 2021, DaBaby faced criticism after telling the crowd, “If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS… then put your cellphone lighter up,” along with additional comments that sparked outrage. The moment spread quickly, and the response from both fans and industry partners followed just as fast.
He later issued a public apology, writing, “I want to apologize to the LGBTQ+ community for the hurtful and triggering comments I made… I know education on this is important.”
While the numbers changed, DaBaby made it clear he never stopped working.
