Dairy Queen to Offer 85 Cent Blizzards To Celebrate Its New Summer Menu

Dairy Queen

A TikTok wedding planner recently revealed an interesting detail about Dairy Queen.

Cassie Horrell, event planner and author of “My Wedding My Way,” shared with PEOPLE that she has offered the delightful ice cream treat to couples and their guests through her local Dairy Queen in the Bethel Park area of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

“It is a HUGE hit at weddings,” Horrell said. “Delicious, unique and interactive — three things that help make a wedding unforgettable!”

According to Horrell’s insights, the standard package entails the fast-food chain’s team arriving at your wedding equipped with the ice cream, the Blizzard machine, four to five toppings chosen by the client in advance, as well as spoons, napkins, and cups of various sizes for guests to savor their ice cream.

For gatherings of up to 150 people, the Blizzard treats are custom-made according to the preferences of the guests. In case your party exceeds this number, Horrell recommends inquiring with Dairy Queen about the possibility of pre-making sundaes for delivery to your event.

In terms of pricing, Horrell’s clients incurred a $150 delivery fee along with a staffing fee. The individual Blizzards are priced between $4.50 and $6.50, varying based on the chosen cup sizes. Payment for the service is typically made in advance before the event.

Nevertheless, a spokesperson for Dairy Queen expressed in a statement to the outlet that the cherished fast-food chain is delighted to offer the iconic treat to newlyweds and their loved ones on their wedding days.

“Dairy Queen is the ultimate way to make a special occasion even sweeter. In fact, we’ve seen a lot of Blizzard Treats served at weddings over the years. Through pre-arranged orders and delivery, our fans have a way to get their favorite DQ treats on their special day,” the statement read.
