Dana Stubblefield’s Wife Says Her Husband is Innocent, “He Just Made a Mistake”
According to TMZ Sports, Dana Stubblefield’s wife says that her husband is an innocent man. She is convinced that the accuser is lying and she is worried about her husband’s well-being in prison. Terri Stubblefield has been married to Dana Stubblefield for 11 years, and they have two young children together. She says she needs Dana to help raise their children and she’s terrified at the idea of him spending the rest of his life in prison.Back in 2016, Terri filed for divorce after she became aware of the allegations against her husband, but they have since reconciled. She admits that her husband screwed up by having sex with another woman, but she is convinced that it was consensual and says that the allegations of him using a gun to rape the accuser is just not true.
She said, “There’s no denying they had sex, but he didn’t rape her. He didn’t have a gun. Dana is 300-something pounds. I don’t think he needs a gun to hold down somebody at all.” She also added that her husband is “not that kind of person. He’s a very sweet person.”
Last week it was previously reported that Dana was sentenced to 15 years to life for raping a woman at his Santa Clara, CA home back in 2015. Prosecutors say the woman has mental and physical disabilities, but Terri says she’s spent years going over the allegations, and she doesn’t believe any of the accuser’s allegations.
According to Terri all of Dana’s friends and former teammates turned their backs on him, except for Randy Kirk and Ron Stone, who she praised for sticking by him. She said, “I believe that some of his other teammates that I thought he was closer to would step forward and they haven’t.”Mrs. Stubblefield is now focusing on appealing the conviction and she had something to say about people who think her husband is a terrible person, “Please don’t think that Dana is a monster because he’s not. He is a great person and you all know better. Don’t let the media fool you! He’s a really good person, a great father, caring with a big heart. He just made a mistake.”
