Dwyane Wade Picks D’Angelo “D-Lo” Russell As New “Way Of Wade” Ambassador With Li-Ning

Looking for new ways to bring his Li-Ning collection to new levels, former #MiamiHeat player #DwyaneWade has tapped D’Angelo Russell as the new ambassador for “Way of Wade.”

Wade partnered with the Chinese athletic shoe and sporting goods company in 2012 and signed a lifetime contract with the company in 2018.

Taking to Twitter to make the announcement, Wade shared his excitement about the new partnership stating, “I’m excited to announce I’ve just signed my first signature athlete – D’Angelo Russel. @Dloading is the perfect player & person to continue the work that I started with @WayofWade. @Dloading… here’s to making your own way. Thank you for believing in us!”

After previously having a Nike deal last season, #GoldenStateWarrior star, Russell has been rocking Li-Ning footwear since the pre-season, leaving many suspecting a future deal between the two.

Wade partnered with Li-Ning seven years ago in an attempt to inspire the next generation.

“My decision 7 years ago to sign with Li-Ning was to show the next generation that it’s not just 1 way of doing things,” Wade expressed to his Twitter followers. “I had a chance to build a global platform that gives future athletes a canvas to create and be expressive. My decision 7 years ago was for moments like today,” he said.
