Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Antonio Brown is in a custody fight with the mother of his 4 year old son, and the two sides tell very different stories.
In court documents, the boy’s mother, Shameika, says Brown has had their son for months without her permission and that she hasn’t been able to have contact with him. She says she’s worried about who is taking care of the boy while Brown is busy with the Steelers.
Brown says that’s not true. His lawyers say Shameika agreed to let their son live with his father back in February, and that Brown recently arranged to fly her to Pittsburgh to visit him. They say her claims are an attempt to get money out of him.
A judge will have to sort out what really happened and what’s best for their son.
At 23, Brown is having a breakout season on the field. If his side of the story holds up, he’s also a young father stepping up to raise his son full time, and that deserves credit.
