Princess Love has pulled the plug on her Instagram page after an unconfirmed report linked her name to a robbery at one of Floyd Mayweather’s Las Vegas properties. Here is what was reported and what she said back.
On October 9, 2013, Larry Brown Sports reported, citing an unnamed source, that a home where Princess Love had been staying was robbed on September 14, the night of Mayweather’s fight against Canelo Alvarez. According to that report, about eight watches from the Rolex brand, close to $10,000 in cash and some other items were taken. The source also alleged that Princess Love was involved. No police report was cited, nobody has confirmed the claim, and the report did not include a response from Mayweather.
Princess Love pushed back. On October 10 she posted on Instagram that it was amazing to her how far people will go to bring you down when all you want is to be happy. When a commenter brought up the robbery report, she told them to stop believing what they read and to consider who is putting it out there.
Before her page disappeared, she also posted a message aimed at the blogs. She said that if sites are going to publish things falsely accusing her of illegal actions, they should at least back it up with tangible evidence, and she added that she refuses to be anyone’s scapegoat. She also shared screenshots of text messages before her account went offline, or at least changed names.
For now this is a story built on one anonymous source and one very public denial. We will keep an eye out for anything official.
