Diddy’s federal trial for sex trafficking is officially underway, with opening statements beginning today after the final jury was selected and sworn in Monday morning in Manhattan.

The case, which has drawn massive media attention, is being overseen by U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian.

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing multiple federal charges, including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting individuals for prostitution.

He was arrested in September 2024 and formally charged in the Southern District of New York. Combs has pleaded not guilty and continues to deny any wrongdoing.

During the jury selection process, potential jurors were asked about their familiarity with several well-known names: Kanye West, Mike Myers, Kid Cudi, and Michael B. Jordan, though none are expected to testify.

Jordan’s name came up due to a brief relationship with Combs’ ex, Cassie Ventura, which she referenced in a civil suit filed against the music mogul.

Ventura, who was in a relationship with Combs for years, is expected to testify under her legal name. Other individuals set to take the stand will reportedly do so under aliases to protect their identities.

If convicted on all charges, Combs could be sentenced to life in prison. He has consistently denied all claims brought against him in court.
