Disney Channel’s Cameron Boyce has passed away.
Boyce was known for his roles on the Disney Channel in the television film ‘Descendants‘ and the series ‘Jessie.’
The family of the actor released a statement early Sunday morning to E! News. “It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron.”
According to the family, Boyce suffered from a medical condition and died in his sleep as a result of a seizure.
“The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him,” his family continued in a statement, adding that they were heartbroken and wants privacy during this time.
A Disney Channel spokesperson also released a statement about the beloved actor. “From a young age, Cameron Boyce dreamed of sharing his extraordinary artistic talents with the world. As a young man, he was fueled by a strong desire to make a difference in peoples’ lives through his humanitarian work.”
Cameron Boyce was 20-years-old.
