Disney is suspending the production of live-action films due to the coronavirus, including the highly anticipated release of the live-action “Mulan” remake.

A company spokesperson explained in a statement, “While there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 on our productions, after considering the current environment and the best interests of our cast and crew, we have made the decision to pause production on some of our live-action films for a short time. We will continue to assess the situation and restart as soon as feasible.”

According to the NY Post, this decision means pausing production on a slew of upcoming projects including a live-action version of the 1989 animated classic “The Little Mermaid,” which was set to begin filming next week in London as well “Home Alone,” “Peter Pan & Wendy,” “Shrunk,” “Cruella” starring Emma Stone and “The Last Duel.”

Disney is also pushing the release date of the highly anticipated “Mulan” back, the studio did not provide a new date.
