There is a new development in the sexual battery lawsuit against Lakers guard Nick Young, according to TMZ.
In May, TMZ reported that a woman suing as Jane Doe accused Young of drugging and sexually assaulting her after they met at Crown Bar in West Hollywood. Young has denied the claim. TMZ reported that police dropped their investigation and that she then filed a civil suit.
Now TMZ reports that documents filed by Young’s legal team say his DNA does not match the sample police collected from the woman. His attorneys argue that the lack of a DNA match should be enough to throw out her lawsuit, and Young is asking the judge to dismiss the case. Their filing also disputes her account.
TMZ’s report did not include a response from the woman or her side. The judge has not ruled on the request to dismiss, and the claims on both sides remain allegations in court filings.
