Rep. James Comer Claims Trump DOJ Told New Mexico To Stop Epstein Ranch Investigation In 2019 [Video]

The Department of Justice jumped in after an alleged letter from Jeffrey Epstein to Larry Nassar started circulating again, and officials say the document was never real.

In a statement shared publicly on X, the DOJ said the FBI confirmed the letter was fake and had actually been flagged years ago when it first showed up at the jail. Investigators pointed to several inconsistencies that made the claim fall apart quickly. The handwriting did not match Epstein’s known writing. The envelope was postmarked three days after Epstein died and came out of Northern Virginia, even though he was being held in a New York jail. The return address also failed to list the jail or include an inmate number, which is required for outgoing inmate mail.

The DOJ also stressed a point that keeps getting lost online. Just because a document is released as part of required disclosures does not mean the allegations inside it are factual. The department says it is legally obligated to release certain materials, even when those materials include false or unverified claims. That clarification may be accurate on paper, but it lands in a climate where public trust is already shaky. This is Donald Trump’s Department of Justice, and critics were quick to note that this is not the first time the administration has dismissed Epstein-related documents as fake. Trump has previously claimed that a widely reported birthday card connected to Epstein was fabricated as well, which only fuels skepticism for people who already question how much transparency the public is really getting.

Do you believe them?
