Dr. Dre is not here for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene using his music in her latest promo content.

On Monday, the far-right congresswoman, who is known for racist and antisemitic remarks, shared a video on her social media platforms that showcased her efforts that helped Kevin McCarthy secure his role as House Speaker. The congresswoman may not be too fond of Black people, but it appears she has taken a liking to the music being produced by them, choosing to place Dr. Dre’s hit single, “Still D.R.E.” over her Reel.

The use of the song raised the eyebrows of many, including the mega-producer himself. Dre slammed Greene and insisted he did not grant her permission to use his record.

“I don’t license my music to politicians, especially someone as divisive and hateful as this one,” the 57-year-old told TMZ.

Not only did Dre express his disdain for his famous tunes being associated with Greene, he quickly took action. His team reached out to Twitter, who removed the video. Furthermore, Greene was locked out of her Twitter account. Taking things even further, Dre has lawyered up and is now exploring legal action against Greene. His attorney Howard King sent a letter to the congresswoman reiterating that Dre would never grant her permission to use his music to promote her “hateful political agenda.”

Greene shared a screenshot of the TMZ article highlighting Dre’s unhappiness with the caption, “The next episode,” which is the name of another Dre classic.

The avid Trump supporter released her own statement to TMZ, assuring them and the Grammy-award winner that she’d never use his lyrics that expressed purported “glorification of the thug life and drugs.”

While this is an unlikely beef, it’ll be interesting to see just how far Dr. Dre takes things legally.
