Alexa, play “Single Again” because Dr. Dre is back on the prowl after a judge officially signed off on his divorce from Nicole Young.
The iconic record producer and mogul may have regained his single status, but his fight with Young is still far from over. The former lovers will now duke it out over the legitimacy of a prenup, which will determine their property settlement, according to TMZ.
Young asks that the prenup be tossed out and argued that Dre said that he would not enforce it. However, the Aftermath founder refutes these claims and maintains that the prenup is indisputable.
Young and Dre’s divorce has been messy, to say the least, with Young hurling abuse claims and Dre firing back, claiming that she was solely after money. For the time being, Dre has been ordered to pay Young nearly $2 million a month in temporary spousal support, though that could increase considering that he is worth $800 million.
It appears that Dre did not wait for his single status to kick in to begin mingling. Months ago, rumors began to swirl that he was dating Love & Hip-Hop Hollywood star, Apryl Jones.
Dre and Young were married for 24 years and share two children Truice and Truly, who are both grown.
