In a move that would rewrite the record books, Drake is on the verge of becoming the first artist in the history of the Billboard 200 to simultaneously debut three albums in the chart’s top three spots.
Industry tracking outlet Hits Daily Double projects that the 5-time Grammy winner’s musical trifecta — “Iceman,” “Maid of Honour,” and “Habibti” — will land at Nos. 1, 2, and 3, respectively, when the chart updates. Leading the charge is Iceman, which Drake quietly built up over the past year through livestreams and cryptic Instagram posts, and is projected to move 475,000 album equivalent units. The two surprise releases, “Maid of Honour”and “Habibti,” are each expected to follow with approximately 120,000 units, bringing his combined total to a staggering 715,000.
The feat would go where no artist has gone before — not even those who came closest. Taylor Swift placed multiple albums in the Billboard 200 Top 10 simultaneously in 2023, and just last February, Kendrick Lamar became the first rapper with three concurrent Top 10 albums following his record-breaking Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show performance. But neither artist managed to lock down the top three positions exclusively, nor debut all three entries in the same chart week. Bob Newhart once held the No. 1 and No. 2 albums simultaneously, a feat later matched by The Beatles multiple times in 1964 — but the top three spots have never been swept by a single act.
The milestone carries additional weight for Drake personally. His landmark opener “Make Them Cry” has become the most-streamed song of 2026 on Spotify, while Iceman claimed the platform’s most-streamed album of the year in a single day. The run also sees Drake’s sophomore classic Take Care re-enter the top 20 ahead of its 15th anniversary this November.
With his 14th No. 1 album in reach, Drake would also officially surpass his tie with Michael Jackson for the most chart-topping albums in history. Billboard is set to confirm the final positions on Sunday, May 24.
