Drake feuds have turned some of his closest collaborators into rivals, but not every friendship has remained broken. Over the years, the Toronto rapper has experienced public fallouts with artists including Kendrick Lamar, Future, Metro Boomin, and Rick Ross. While some relationships have recovered, others remain strained, and recent speculation surrounding 21 Savage has raised questions about another longtime friendship.
Future was once among Drake’s most frequent collaborators. The rappers released “What a Time to Be Alive” in 2015 and delivered numerous hits together before their relationship appeared to fracture in 2024. That year, Future and Metro Boomin released “We Don’t Trust You,” featuring Kendrick Lamar’s Drake-directed verse on “Like That.” However, the apparent fallout wasn’t permanent. Drake and Future reunited musically on “Ran to Atlanta” from Drake’s May 2026 album “Iceman.”
Kendrick Lamar’s relationship with Drake has been far more difficult to repair. The two initially collaborated on “Buried Alive Interlude” and “Poetic Justice,” but their competitive relationship intensified after Kendrick’s 2013 “Control” verse. Their rivalry exploded in 2024, producing diss tracks including “Euphoria,” “Family Matters,” and “Not Like Us.” Both artists made serious allegations against each other during the battle, and no public reconciliation has followed.
Metro Boomin also went from trusted collaborator to public adversary. After producing several Drake records, their relationship deteriorated around 2023. Metro later joined Future for “We Don’t Trust You” and released the mocking “BBL Drizzy” instrumental in 2024. Interestingly, 21 Savage revealed in December 2025 that Drake had apologized to Metro multiple times, according to his account. Although 21 expressed hope that they could eventually reconcile, no reunion has been confirmed.
That brings another longtime friendship into the conversation. Drake and 21 Savage have worked together since 2016, released their joint album “Her Loss” in 2022, and toured together. They also collaborated on “B’s on the Table” from Iceman in May 2026. However, Adam22 recently questioned whether their friendship had changed after noticing alleged missing Instagram likes and claiming 21 spent time with Metro during Drake’s birthday celebrations. Neither rapper has confirmed a falling out, making this one speculation rather than an established feud.
Rick Ross, on the other hand, has openly exchanged diss records with Drake. The two previously collaborated on songs including “Aston Martin Music,” “Stay Schemin'” and “Money in the Grave.” Their relationship collapsed publicly in 2024 when Drake targeted Ross on “Push Ups,” prompting Ross to respond with “Champagne Moments.” As recently as April 2026, Ross suggested Drake had personal issues to address before they could reconcile.
A$AP Rocky’s friendship with Drake also deteriorated, with tensions involving Rihanna reportedly contributing to their problems. The rappers once toured together and collaborated on music, but their relationship eventually turned competitive. Rocky continued addressing their differences on his 2026 track “Stole Ya Flow.” Despite acknowledging their history together, neither artist has publicly confirmed that they’ve repaired the friendship.
J. Cole’s relationship with Drake has also faced questions. The two toured together and collaborated on “First Person Shooter,” but things appeared to change after Cole withdrew from his 2024 rap battle with Kendrick Lamar. Drake seemingly criticized Cole’s decision on “Iceman” in 2026, leaving their current relationship uncertain despite Cole previously expressing love for both artists.
Some Drake feuds have experienced multiple rounds. Kanye West, now known as Ye, spent years exchanging public shots with Drake before the two reconciled at the 2021 Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert. That peace didn’t last, as Ye joined the 2024 controversy with his own “Like That” remix. Although Drake reportedly liked a September 2026 Instagram tribute honoring Ye’s late mother, the gesture did not confirm another reconciliation.
Meek Mill provides one of the clearest examples of a repaired friendship. Their 2015 feud erupted after Meek accused Drake of using ghostwriters, leading to Drake’s memorable response, “Back to Back.” However, they reunited onstage in 2018, collaborated on “Going Bad,” and appeared together again during Drake’s 2023 Philadelphia concert.
Nicki Minaj also experienced distance from Drake during his conflict with her then-boyfriend Meek Mill. Drake acknowledged in 2016 that they weren’t speaking, but the Young Money collaborators eventually reconnected, recording music together again, including Nicki’s 2023 song “Needle.”
French Montana faced similar speculation about tension with Drake following controversy surrounding an unreleased collaboration. However, the longtime collaborators appeared together during a 2025 livestream, suggesting they had moved beyond any reported disagreement.
DJ Khaled’s relationship with Drake became another subject of controversy in 2026 after Drake criticized him on “Iceman” over his silence regarding Palestine. Fat Joe later revealed that he had attempted to broker peace between them, although no reconciliation has been publicly confirmed.
The Weeknd, another early Drake collaborator, has also experienced years of tension with the rapper. Their relationship cooled after their early work together, and Drake targeted the Toronto singer on “Push Ups” during the 2024 rap battle. The two have not publicly reunited.
Chris Brown, meanwhile, represents another friendship that survived a major fallout. Following years of tension and a 2012 nightclub altercation involving their entourages, Brown and Drake eventually repaired their relationship, collaborating on the 2019 hit “No Guidance.”
From Kendrick Lamar’s unresolved rivalry to Future’s musical reunion and Meek Mill’s public reconciliation, Drake’s relationships across hip-hop have taken dramatically different directions.
As for the latest 21 Savage speculation, Akademiks has made it clear the men are not at odds, hopefully taking one potential Drizzy beef off the table.
