Drake and Future have been dismissed from a $25 million lawsuit tied to a 2016 Summer Sixteen tour stop in Tennessee, according to The Blast.
A woman filed the suit in August 2017 against the two rappers and the arena. She alleged she was assaulted by a security worker, identified in reports as Leavy, and claimed the defendants should have known his employment posed an unreasonable risk to others because he had outstanding assault warrants at the time.
The Blast reported that Drake, whose legal name is Aubrey Drake Graham, and Future, whose legal name is Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, were dismissed from the suit without prejudice. That means the dismissal does not permanently bar the claims.
Reports also say Leavy was later arrested and charged in connection with the allegation. A charge is not a conviction, and he is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
The arena, the touring companies and the security company that reportedly employed him remain in the suit, and the case is ongoing.
