During his most recent concert, Drake paused briefly to make a significant life-altering promise to one of the attendees.

While on stage at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, during his performance on Saturday night, Drake halted the show to engage with the audience, announcing his commitment to cover the mortgage of a fan’s deceased mother.

In a clip circulated on X,  the 37-year-old artist received a note from an individual in the front row of his concert. Upon reading it, Drake questioned, “This is it?”

“You said, ‘[Pay] off my mom’s house, rest in peace.’ Your mom passed away? Alright. And you owe… Oh, this is the outstanding balance right here,” he said. “This is a lot of money right here. But you know what, Ima pay off your momma’s house for you.”

Additionally, Drake disclosed to the audience that the fan had requested a donation of “160 bands” for the cause, yet the Grammy-award winning artist had already committed to his pledge.

“Imma pay out of my pocket. That’s gonna come from me. Rest in peace to your momma,” Drake added. “Hold on, wait. Rest in peace to Jennifer Schumer. Rest in peace. I love you.”

Drake’s commitment to covering the mortgage follows closely on the heels of his pledge to give $25,000 to a fan in Buffalo who shared her cancer journey through a sign at his concert. Earlier in the month, he also vowed to donate $100,000 to another fan who triumphed over cancer, declaring, “That’s a true soldier right there.” He encouraged the crowd, saying, “Y’all better make some motherf*cking noise.”
