Dunkin' Employee Charged With Manslaughter For Punching Customer Who Called Him A Racial Slur

A Dunkin’ employee is facing a manslaughter charge after fatally punching a 77-year-old customer who allegedly called him a racial slur.

Corey Pujols, 27, was arrested on an aggravated manslaughter charge in connection to a May 5th incident at a Florida Dunkin’ store.

Pujos told authorities that he and the victim got into a heated altercation at the drive-thru after the customer became upset due to lack of service.

The customer, who was a regular, was “extremely rude” that day he said, and came in to confront him, even calling him a racial slur.

Pujols said he asked the man to repeat himself, the man did– and that’s when Pujols punched the man causing him to fall.

The elderly man ultimately died two days after the altercation.

Jail records show that Pujols was initially arrested on a charge of battery on a person older than 65 and released the next day after posting $2,000 bail. His freedom was short-lived as he was rearrested on May 7 and ordered to be held without bail.
