"Real Housewives of Atlanta" Alum Dwight Eubanks Diagnosed With Prostate Cancer, Says Doctors Missed Key Sign in 2022

Dwight Eubanks, best known from “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” has revealed he was diagnosed with prostate cancer earlier this year.

At 64, the celebrity event planner says he felt “like Superman” and didn’t expect to be blindsided by the diagnosis.

“So I’m thinking that I’m good,” he told People. “I was confident that I was Superman. I was cleared. I was going to be okay, and I just never thought about it.”

Eubanks only got tested after his church held a health fair in January. Days later, his doctor urged him to come in, despite feeling perfectly healthy. A PSA blood test in April confirmed prostate cancer.

“I was shocked. I was angry,” Eubanks said. “I was just emotionally a wreck.”

Even more frustrating was that his doctors had previously discovered high PSA levels in 2022 that were overlooked.

“I was like, are you kidding me?… Never said anything about my prostate.”

Now, Eubanks is using his platform to push for awareness, especially among Black men, who face double the risk of dying from the disease. As a longtime HIV survivor, he knows the importance of staying proactive.

“I could not be silent with this,” he said. “Ask questions, look at your records, investigate.”

Now a brand ambassador for ZERO Prostate Cancer, Eubanks is still exploring treatment options. “I feel good,” he said. “We’re all going to go through something…but life really is a beautiful thing.”
