Dwight Howard is firing back at Royce Reed, the mother of his child, accusing her of using their son’s child support payments to fund her business ventures.

The NBA champion addressed the situation during an interview with Ray Daniels, expressing his frustration over the ongoing conflicts. He revealed his hope that the mothers of his children would collaborate with him to build financial opportunities rather than publicly criticizing him. Howard disclosed that he provided Reed with a $200,000 payment when their son was young, which she allegedly used to fund her personal endeavors.
“So my son’s mom, that was $13,000 a month from the time my son was born. Let’s do the math on that…Also, let’s do a lump sum of over $200,000. This is what I did for her when he first was born. You take the money and you go buy a dance studio. That has nothing to do with your child,” Howard explained.
Reed is the founder of Fantashique, a dance company that trains dancers and participates in competitions. The former “Basketball Wives” star has previously accused Howard of being a neglectful father and has claimed he verbally and physically abused her.
Most recently, Reed made an even more serious allegation, suggesting that Howard may have had knowledge regarding pastor Zachery Tim’s 2011 drug overdose death.
Howard has not publicly responded to this particular claim but has emphasized that he does provide for his children.
