Former NBA champion Dwight Howard is pushing back against online accusations after filing for divorce from his wife, Amy Luciani, earlier this week.
The former Los Angeles Lakers center addressed the situation on Snapchat after Luciani made a series of allegations about him on social media. In the post, Howard directly denied claims suggesting he uses drugs.
“Y’all will believe everything y’all see on the internet lol,” Howard wrote to followers. He added, “I have never done coke in my life.”

Howard’s statement comes shortly after he filed for divorce in Georgia. Court documents list January 11, 2025, as the couple’s marriage date and describe the relationship as “irretrievably broken.” The filing also notes there are no children shared between the two.
The divorce request arrived just hours after Luciani posted a video online where she made several accusations involving Howard. In that video, she also claimed Child Protective Services had taken one of his daughters. That claim has not been independently confirmed.
Representatives for Howard have not released additional statements beyond his Snapchat response.
The couple’s relationship has played out publicly over the past year with multiple filings and reconciliations. Luciani first filed for divorce in July 2025, after roughly six months of marriage, before later withdrawing the petition. Howard also filed his own divorce petition during that period, but eventually dismissed it as well.

Its a shame it has come to this
