Dwight Howard’s son, Braylon Howard, is chiming in on the recent drama with his dad by sharing his own experience with his father’s alleged lies.

During a recent livestream with his mother, Royce Reed, the teen opened up about feeling disappointed after the former NBA star allegedly promised gifts that never came. Braylon explained that the conversation with his father happened around his birthday and the holiday season, when Howard asked him to send links for items he wanted.
“And I had asked him like around my birthday and after Christmas, like in between then,” Braylon said on the livestream. “I asked him, I was like, ‘So why did you say that you were getting me all this stuff for my birthday for Christmas? And you told me to send you links and stuff, and you never did.’”
He continued, saying the issue was not just the gifts but the pattern of promises that do not get fulfilled.
“You say that you’re going to get me these gifts,” Braylon added. “You promised me all this stuff. And you don’t do it.”
Reed, who shares Braylon with Howard, jumped into the conversation by pointing out that she believes the behavior has been consistent over the years.
“When was the last time he got you anything for your birthday?” Reed asked during the livestream. “When was the last time he showed up for anything important? So why even let him get you on that level? I’ve told you this before.”
The livestream moment comes after Howard’s wife, Amy Luciani, posted emotional videos online accusing the former NBA champion of drug use and claiming he pressured his children to lie to Child Protective Services during a visit. Howard has not publicly addressed Braylon’s comments, and court records do not show that he has filed for divorce from Luciani.
