E11even Miami has become the first major nightclub in the United States to accept cryptocurrency as a payment form.
On Tuesday, the E11even Partners hospitality group announced that it had partnered with a cryptocurrency processing company to accept various purchases using Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ripple, Dogecoin, and several others. Patrons can now pay for drinks, tables, or other merchandise while at the club using the currency.
The nightclub will accept the innovative form of payment without having to buy, own or manage cryptocurrency. The nightclub is hoping to attract guests involved in Bitcoin and is excited to “be the ones paving the way.”
E11even announcement comes as Miami works towards becoming the latest tech hub, as tech companies continue to move in and call South Florida their home.
