EJ Johnson threw shade at Rihanna for arriving an hour late to Dior’s show during Paris Fashion Week. In a livestream recapping the show, EJ praised the collection but made it clear nobody enjoyed the wait.

“The show itself was beautiful. It did start an hour late because Rihanna was late, and you know, like, we didn’t care to wait for her,” EJ said. “But the show was beautiful none the less.”
Dior has not commented on the start time, so the claim that the show was held for Rihanna comes from EJ alone. No public response from Rihanna has been confirmed.
Rihanna running on Rihanna time is nothing new, and neither is her history with Dior. In 2015 she became the first Black woman to front a Dior campaign. In 2022, a bystander yelled “you’re late” as she walked into Dior’s Paris show while pregnant with her first child. She answered “No [expletive]” without breaking stride, and the clip became a meme overnight.
This is also not the first time this year EJ Johnson has come for Rihanna. In a May recap of the 2026 Met Gala, EJ called the night a “graveyard” and said the looks were “awful on awful.” EJ named Rihanna, Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian as stars who usually own the carpet but “fell short.” Beyoncé got the harshest read of all, compared to the Grim Reaper and Skeletor for her skeleton gown.
