Former Arizona Cardinals cornerback Eric Green is being sued for $10 million over allegations of sexual assault.
The plaintiff, a transgender woman from New York named Angelina, filed the lawsuit in federal court in Florida, where Green was born and lives. According to the lawsuit, she met Green at a casino in Scottsdale, Arizona, in early 2009, when he was still playing for the Cardinals, and went back to his condo, where she says he assaulted her. Court documents say Green then became “extremely agitated and threatening” and told her not to tell anyone.
Angelina is also suing the city of New York in a separate case. She says police officers humiliated her and mocked her gender identity after arresting her for trespassing in October 2008.
Attempts to reach Green for comment have been unsuccessful. These are allegations in a lawsuit, and it will be up to the court to sort them out.
