Christmas came early for Nicki Minaj, thanks to Erica Mena’s surprising apology.
In a shocking turn of events, Mena is owning up to the drama she stirred with the Queen of Rap in the past.
While talking about her messy divorce from Safaree Samuels on the Dumb Blonde podcast, Mena opened up about how her perspective on Nicki has changed.
She admitted that she was influenced by Safaree’s lies, which made her have a negative opinion of Minaj, but she later realized the truth and regretted her judgment.
But now, after realizing Safaree had been cheating, Mena’s giving Nicki the apology she owes.
“I owe her the biggest apology ever,” Mena confessed. She explained that when she was with Safaree, he manipulated her by playing the victim, telling her all about Nicki’s supposed wrongdoings.
Mena now claims that Safaree was only painting a one-sided story to hurt Nicki. “It’s funny how life comes full circle,” Mena said. “Because the same thing he did to her, he’s doing to me years later.”
Mena continued: “I remember him pouring his heart out to me about all the stuff she did to him, showing me videos of her reacting. I didn’t think to ask, well, what did you do to her?”
Reflecting on her own experience, Mena added, “I owe this woman an apology because I sat there and allowed him to talk about her to me. And from that came me defending and vouching for him in a way that was tacky, because at the end of the day, I didn’t know the truth.”
As Mena reflected on everything, she realized the tables had turned. “Everything she has ever said about him is true. Everything that she went through with him, I’m going through it worse,” Mena said.
So, with Christmas tomorrow, Nicki’s getting the gift of an apology from Erica Mena—and it’s about time.
