Lenny Kravitz’s Barbie Just Dropped: The New Doll Copies His Rockstar Style Down To The Nose Ring

Lenny Kravitz is officially getting the Barbie treatment, and Mattel did not hold back on the rockstar details. The new Lenny Kravitz Barbie Signature Kenbassador doll dropped Thursday, September 17, bringing the singer, musician, actor, and style icon into one of Mattel’s newest celebrity collections. According to Mattel Creations, the collectible is priced at $70 and is available online through Mattel and other major retailers.

The Lenny Kravitz Barbie release makes Kravitz the second honoree in the Barbie Signature Kenbassadors Collection. The line launched in 2025 with LeBron James as its first honoree and was created to recognize men whose cultural impact extends beyond their primary field. Kravitz’s arrival also comes as Barbie celebrates Ken’s 65th anniversary in 2026.

Naturally, Kravitz’s personal style is a major part of the design. Mattel’s official product listing says the doll was sculpted in his likeness and wears a bronze colored mesh cowl-neck tank, boot-leg denim jeans, a studded belt, boots, and sunglasses. The figure also recreates his signature locs, while Mattel Creations says the design includes details such as his tattoos and nose ring. A doll stand and certificate of authenticity are included with the collectible.

The look draws directly from Kravitz’s recent Blue Electric Light Tour. Kravitz worked with the Barbie team on the finer details of the doll, including accessories connected to what he actually wore onstage. People reported that the sunglasses were modeled after a vintage pair and that one necklace represented a piece that belonged to Kravitz’s late mother.

That level of attention makes sense for an artist whose fashion has remained nearly as recognizable as his music. Mattel describes the doll as a celebration of his work across music, fashion, art, acting, production, and design. The company also credits Kravitz with selling more than 50 million records worldwide. His recording career has produced four Grammy wins and nine nominations, including four consecutive victories in the former Best Male Rock Vocal Performance category between 1999 and 2002.

The timing also connects the collectible to the latest chapter of his career. The doll specifically honors both Kravitz’s Blue Electric Light Tour and his broader legacy as a singer, songwriter, musician, record producer, actor, and designer. His album “Blue Electric Light” was released in 2024, and the tour that followed became the visual inspiration behind the Kenbassador figure.

For collectors, the release adds another Black cultural icon to Mattel’s growing Kenbassadors lineup after James opened the series last year. More importantly, the Lenny Kravitz Barbie captures what has made Kravitz instantly recognizable for decades: rock music, fearless fashion, and a stage presence that never required him to look or sound like anybody else.
