The woman killed in Friday night’s shooting inside a Spirit Halloween store in Fairfield, California, has been identified.
Fairfield police named her as 31 year old Constance Hages. Her family told detectives she was pregnant at the time of her death, and police say the Solano County Coroner is working to confirm that.
The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. on October 30, the night before Halloween, inside the Spirit Halloween store at the Solano Town Center mall. As Baller Alert previously reported, seven people were shot. Hages died, and six others were rushed to area hospitals.
Police say the six wounded victims are all male, ranging in age from 16 to 43. At one point, three of them were listed in critical condition, including a 16 year old boy and two men ages 19 and 32.
Investigators believe the shooting was a targeted incident involving one suspect inside the store. No arrest has been made. Detectives are reviewing surveillance video and interviewing witnesses, and they’re asking anyone with information or footage to contact the Fairfield Police Department.
Shoppers described a chaotic scene as gunfire rang out in the crowded store, with people running for cover throughout the mall during one of the busiest shopping nights of the season. The store stayed closed Saturday, with cars still sitting in the parking lot from the night before.
The Fairfield shooting was one of two deadly shootings at Spirit Halloween stores that same day. Earlier Friday, a 21 year old man was killed in a separate shooting at a Spirit Halloween in Madison Heights, Michigan.
